Chapter Youth Program

The Worcester Chapter is delighted to announce the inception of the AMC Chapter Youth Program. Our volunteers are available to lead hikes or activities for youth group organizations and schools.

Please contact Johsie Oliva, CYP coordinator, if you're interested in becoming a volunteer or if you have recommendations for organizations that could use our services. Please consider getting involved and make a difference in the life of a child.

We're looking for anyone interested in becoming involved in any capacity with this new endeavor.  If you'd like to be a member of the CYP committee, or lead a youth activity, or even just offer suggestions and ideas, please let me know!

For anyone who wishes to be involved at a level with child contact, there are a few requirements.

1. Leaders must have leadership training and have led activities or co-led at least 3.
2. You must be CORI checked by the AMC.
3. You must have CPR/basic First Aid training
4. You must complete CYP training
5. You must complete the CYP Volunteer Leader Form and return it to Jessica Wilson.

• April 8th, CYP Leadership Training is being offered at the YMCA Harrington Camp in Boylston, MA. Contact Johsie Oliva for additional deails and to register.
• April 9th & 10th, Worcester Chapter Leadership Training is being offered at the YMCA Harrington Camp in Boylston, MA. Contact Deb Herlihy for additional details and to register.
• CORI checking is free and I will send you the necessary forms upon request.
• CPR/First Aid class is available through Safety Trainers in West Boylston.
